Lars Haugen, 1924 National Ski Tournament
Brattleboro, VT hosted the 1924 National Ski Tournament. A crowd estimated between 5000 and 7000 attended the finals. Both form and distance counted in scoring. Henry Hall outjumped Haugen but did not place due to his form. Anders Haugen, of the US Olympic Team and winner of 4th place in the just-completed Chamonix Winter Games (his rank would be upgarded to third retroactively), fell on the outrun and did not figure in the standings.
